With high performing processors and innovative programmable hot keys, laptop by razer is designed for gaming. The design is striking. The screen that doubles as a touchpad isn’t below the keyboard as you see with most laptops, it’s on the side to simulate a proper mouseand keyboard set up. The screen will be able to share information from the game, and the images on the buttons are dynamic based on the game. Imagine being able to keep all your spells for an MMO there, complete with icons that show the effect? Depending on the included software, you might be able to create your own macros and assign them custom icons, too. As long as support is robust, the possibilities are exciting.
The ‘blade’ features a 17-inch 1920×1080 LED screen, powered by an intel core i7 processor and NVIDIA geforce graphics chip. it benefits from razer’s ‘switchblade user interface’, which places adjacent to the keyboard ten programmable tactile keys and an LCD that can switch between functioning as a multitouch panel, or a display for game information when the system registers an external mouse being used. each of the ten hotkeys can be programmed for in-game commands, and an LCD image can be assigned to the button’s face, not unlike art.lebdev’s optimus keyboard concepts. The device also features a built-in HD webcam. Laptop which was developed in partnership with intel, is composed of aluminum for a construction that is more portable than most gaming devices, weighing in at under 7 pounds (3.2kg) and measuring 0.88-inches thick (and 16.8 x 10.9 inches in width and depth respectively).
